The Six Dimensions of Purpose provides a practical way to look at purpose in life based on a unique interpretation of the AQAL Four Quadrants framework. By taking a phenomenological view of the Four Quadrants in relation to the developmental nature of purpose, the Six Dimensions of Purpose reveals how human beings are first and foremost social creatures embedded in a preexisting world. Using insights from Heidegger and the existentialists, humans are “beings-in-the-world”, whereby existence precedes essence. In this way the Six Dimensions of Purpose reveals a pragmatic way to understand and discover purpose in life, including life purpose.
