Mathias’ 2020 IEC Online role is the official IEC visual documentation (graphic recording): live visuals of all keynotes + selected workshops; a live creation process. Pictures of the visuals will reach every participant post-event.
Graphic Recording is not illustration or art. It originated as a facilitation method approx. 40 years ago. Thus it is a relatively young discipline that belongs to the larger context of “visualization” and “process consulting”. What does this mean? In the case of Graphic Recording, the primary focus is to support meetings, generate insight, and encourage collaboration and group processes. Thus, the IEC experience of participants can be improved in real-time on site, as well as after the event.
