‘Spiritual Activism’ uses the AQAL map to provide a means to creating global change from the personal to the political. This presentation provides case studies to illustrate how activists facilitate change with awareness of the self in systems using tools that can be considered ‘spiritual’, which are essentially universal principles that individuals have learned to work with to create the changes they want to see in the world and can be replicated in various local contexts for global impact.

About Wanda Krause:

Wanda Krause, PhD, is Program Head of the MA in Global Leadership, and Assistant Professor in the School of Leadership Studies Program at Royal Roads University, Canada. Wanda has written, co-written and edited five books. She is invited to give talks and presentations internationally, and loves to write and teach on empowerment, leadership, gender, evaluation, civil society, success, mindfulness and politics. She has published numerous journal and book chapter articles to date.
