The Intersection
Just like a monkey, a tree, and a banana, these three concepts don’t really occur without one another. With the recent progressions of large and accessible artificial intelligence (AI) for the masses, like ChatGPT, mystics and futurists join for dialogue once again to bridge their disciplines, reveal the truth that lies in the intersection.
Lucky for us, IEC Keynote speaker, Dr Mariana Bozesan has been focusing on this intersection in recent years. Her career and education has been spanning from business, psychology, to AI. We are glad to introduce you to what she will be talking about:
Mariana’s Abstract:
Only the future will show how humanity will make the transformation to sustainable global civilizations possible, rooted in a mindset of later stages of consciousness, which is the premise for the great transition. In this presentation, I show why current AIs are operating mostly from ego-centric or ethnocentric levels of consciousness and argue why AI will never replace human consciousness.
Furthermore, I will make the argument that a transdisciplinary transformation and multi- perspectival solutions in a global world ruled by highly intricate economic, social, and environmental interdependencies are occurring. Consciousness evolution and theoretical models such as Ken Wilber’s integral theory, Dave Snowden’s Cynefin model, and Donald Hoffman’s new definition of consciousness could provide deeper guidance. They demonstrate how to make better sense of the world to enable emergent action within the exponentially growing technologies, global complexity, and global threats.
We do not have to succumb to the Law of Diminishing Results and let human civilization collapse, as in previous cultures. Now, for the first time in the history of human civilization, the Law of Accelerated Returns gives us a window of opportunity to develop to the next level of consciousness. But we must do the work, and it is not going to be easy.

Dr. Bozesan is an award-winning integral investor and successful serial tech-entrepreneur leveraging exponentially growing technologies to accelerate the implementation of the UN SDGs within Planetary Boundaries by 2050.
The popular keynote speaker and TV personality, authored several books including Integral Investing: From Profit to Prosperity, a report to the Club of Rome and the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS). The prominent alumna of KIT(Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) is also the recipient of the Golden Angelina Award, as Europe’s Female Angel Investor of 2019, conferred by BAND, the German Business Angel Network and BAE, Business Angels Europe. In 2017, she was also named Best European Early-Stage Investor 2016 by EBAN, the European Business Angel Network.
Mariana is full member of the prominent international Club of Rome and Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS). Educated at Stanford University and KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), Dr. Bozesan earned an MSc (Dipl.-Inform.) in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from KIT and a PhD in Psychology.
