Since I was born there was always drama in our family – especially led by my mother, the main figure that raised me since my dad was mostly abroad due to work. Despite I got a lot of love from my mother, I also got emotionally abused by her and I could find myself in a constant hot-cold-dynamic where I felt the need to chase love & approval. Yet the drama, which was caused by my mothers depression & PTSD – which was caused by her painful childhood memories (ancestral trauma) – was the source where I was able to connect the most with my mother. Unconsciously I was developing an anxious attachment style and ingrained the unconscious belief “Drama creates connection” – which, of course, affected all of my relationships, especially the romantic ones. I will not only share personal experiences and knowledge around Anxious Attachment and Addiction to Drama but also HOW TO ESCAPE this viscious cycle in order to build a strong foundation within and thus safe & healthy relationsships.
