Did you see what just happened in Serbia? And what happened six months ago in Hungary, right here in Central Europe, where IEC 2027 will take place?
In this region, where the integral global world will gather on May 12-16, very promising political transitions occurred, while in other regions, like the terrible war between Russia and Ukraine, the tensions in NATO, and the protests in France are really alarming.
In the following video, Bence Gánti analyzes the situation in this part of Europe, highlighting Hungary’s democratic transformation. The presentation is called “The post-tragic shift in Europe” that was given at the ICON conference – Integral Conference of North America – on 29th of May 2026.

In April 2026, Hungary voted for historic change, ending Viktor Orbán’s 16 years in power and opening the door to restoring Orange (rational) values such as democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. From an Integral perspective, this creates an opportunity for Green (pluralistic) consciousness to flourish through cooperation, sustainability, and inclusion, laying the foundation for Teal (Integral) consciousness and a more interconnected society.
And now, Serbia!
On October 25, a student-led democratic movement achieved a historic electoral victory, ending Aleksandar Vučić’s long-standing dominance.
- Two years of student-led protests demanding accountability and an end to corruption.
- A movement sparked by the tragic Novi Sad railway station collapse, which killed 16 people.
- A historic election victory, with student-backed candidates winning approximately 53% of the vote.
- Thousands celebrating a new opportunity for democratic renewal.
From an Integral perspective, this signals a potential shift from authoritarian Red and Amber patterns toward Orange democratic values and Green civic participation, opening the door to greater collective awareness and cooperation.
And the transformation reaches beyond Europe.
In Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has just been re-elected, renewing hopes for democratic participation, social inclusion, and continued protection of the Amazon rainforest.
Of course, elections alone do not transform collective consciousness. But they can open the door. Could we be witnessing a new wave of collective evolution?
