An Integral Approach to Pregnancy and Childbirth

IEC Conference: 2023

What better place to support the 2.0 version of planetary awakening than by working more consciously with the extraordinarily impactful (yet incredibly common) experience of childbirth and creation? In this engaging and interactive presentation, Brooke Radloff, M.A. PMH-C presents the need for humanity to move beyond the fragmented and flawed models of maternity care that most of the world currently operates within, and illustrates the need for an Integral Paradigm and Approach to Perinatal Care. Radloff presents the six key components of her Integral Model of Pregnancy and Childbirth and offers real life examples of the IMPC in action, its successes, and implications. After applying the IMPC for over a decade, Radloff posits that by utilizing this integral approach, individuals and perinatal professionals have the potential to address the problems, impacts, and negative ripple effects of birth-related trauma, as well as create the framework to elevate the experience of pregnancy, childbirth, and the transition into early parenthood to a level that can bring about a greater sense of well-being, personal development, and psychospiritual transformation.
