Meeting of Consortium of Integral Scholars

IEC Conference: 2023

The inaugural in-person meeting of the International Consortium of Integral Scholars (the Consortium) is open to existing Consortium members and to interested people within the integral academic research community.

Agenda:

  1. Round of brief introductions
  2. Discussion of draft Constitution (objectives, structure, membership, roles, etc.)
  3. Structure for ongoing collaboration
    1. Monthly online calls
    2. Research Portal
  4. Commitments: What are members willing and able to contribute?
  5. Discussion topics
    1. What is needed most from us in terms of contributing towards planetary awakening?
    2. How can we most effectively disseminate Integral Theory in the world?
    3. How can we best influence education, culture, policy, governance and business, etc?

HABIB, Tom Dr.

Tom Habib, Ph.D. was founder and managing partner in a private group Clinical Psychology practice for 26 years and is currently in private practice with his daughter, Adrienne Habib, Psy.D. Tom is an independent researcher (https://independent.academia.edu/HabibTom) with research interest in integral theory, sensory processing sensitivity, collective intelligence, and the higher stages of intimate couples.
Dr. Habib is the past Chairperson for the IEC’s International Consortium of Integral Scholars and is active in San Diego Integral and the Integral European Conference. Tom served as the emcee of the highly successful 2022 What’s the Future Conference in Sedona, Arizona and developed the ICON Conference, Future Human held in Denver, Colorado in 2024. Tom lives in Carlsbad, California with his wife Christine A. Baser, R.N., Ph.D., and they just celebrated their 40th anniversary.

Jeremy’s mission is to apply integral theory to the discipline of economics to help accelerate sustainable development in practice. He holds a Master’s in Economics from Cambridge University and a PhD in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. His career spans academia, think tanks, impact investing and a non-profit foundation, first in his native South Africa and more recently in Switzerland. In his leisure time, he enjoys rock climbing, hiking, skiing, swimming, wildlife safaris and other nature-based activities.
